How to Use

• Rinse before use
• Place in a fine mesh filter bag (180 micron or less)
• Position in an area of strong water flow for best performance
• Use in canister filters, media chambers, box filters or trickle filters
• Each 250ml treats up to 1,000L of water for up to six months
• Replace when beads turn dark brown or black

Regeneration Instructions

• Soak in a 1:1 bleach to water solution for 24 hours
• Use a non-metallic container in a well-ventilated area, away from children
• Use regular 8.25% unscented household bleach (no dyes, no splash-less formulas)
• Rinse thoroughly after soaking
• Soak for 8 hours in a dechlorinator solution (4 tablespoons of Prime or equivalent per cup of water)
• Rinse again thoroughly
• For freshwater use, soak for 4 hours in a buffer solution (2 tablespoons per cup of water)
• Check for any bleach/chlorine smell before reuse
• If in doubt, test with a chlorine test kit
• Do not reuse if bleach odour remains

Important Notes

• Some slime coat products may permanently reduce effectiveness
• Do not reuse if chlorine is detectable
